In April 2020, the Small Business Administration (SBA) moved quickly to implement the Economic Injury & Disaster Loan (EIDL) and Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which provided relief to small businesses affected by COVID-19. The SBA worked to streamline the program so that lenders could begin distributing these funds as soon as possible.
