(September 30, 2021 - Rochester, MI-) With the entrance of fall comes exciting news at Royal Park Hotel. Located in Downtown Rochester, Royal Park Hotel is one of only four locations in the country to be selected for an exclusive Bourbon Pairing Dinner featuring cuisine, ingredients and experts from Kentucky’s StarHill Farm, home of Maker’s Mark.

Amanda Humphrey, Education and Drinks Program Manager at Maker’s Mark, will be onsite on October 27th to guide guests through their culinary and beverage experience. Guests will also hear from Maker’s Mark Diplomat Greta Harper as she walks them through the story of each bourbon and provides tasting tips for each course.

“From the whisky in your glass to the entrée on your plate, flavor is at the heart of everything we do here on StarHill Farm,” said Humphrey.  “We look forward to bringing those flavors to the guests at Royal Park.”

StarHill is known for Maker’s Mark, a nature distilled bourbon. The farm takes its role as inheritors and stewards of its gorgeous slice of central Kentucky seriously and is committed to everything that goes into its bourbon, its cocktails and its menu items being locally sourced and sustainably produced.

Executive Chef Boris Jovanoski partners with StarHill Farm on October 27 to create a four-course dinner featuring exclusive and rare bourbon pairings.

Utilizing locally-sourced ingredients is so important to us at PARK 600. Locally Crafted isn’t just part of our name, it’s truly what we believe in,” said Jovanoski. “I have masterfully created an exclusive multi-course menu composed of locally sourced, farm fresh ingredients sourced directly from StarHill Farm complimented by the evening’s specialty curated bourbon cocktails from Makers Mark Distillery and our very own PARK 600 team. This is an incredible, one-of-a-kind opportunity and we cannot wait to share this experience with Maker’s Mark and our guests.”

Royal Park Hotel’s restaurant, PARK 600, also currently features a ‘Taste of Fall’ pairing that includes a Soft Pretzel Charcuterie Board featuring locally made warm, soft pretzels from baker, ‘Indulge by Jenn.’ The board is then paired with house-made beer cheese dip, dill honey mustard, Cotswold onion, and chive cheddar, Salami, Prosciutto di Parma, and Seasonal Fruit.

For guests who want the fall bourbon experience to continue throughout the season, Royal Park Hotel launched its Bourbon & Bonfires hotel package this September. The package includes overnight accommodations for two, two Maker’s Mark Bourbon cocktails of their choice at PARK 600, complimentary access to the PARK 600 outdoor Fire Pit and a keepsake bag of exclusive Bourbon Barrel-Aged Coffee in collaboration with Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters. Keeping with the Maker’s Mark fall theme, five Royal Park Hotel team members went to the Distillery at Maker’s Mark in June of this year to hand select PARK 600’s next Maker’s Mark Barrel (Director of Culinary Operations Boris Jovanoski, Hotel Proprietor Ashley Rewold Alexander, PARK 600 General Manager Lauren Roberts, PARK 600 Manager Derek Lewis, and Marketing & Communications Manager Sarah Osbourn).

“With 1,001 possible combinations, we chose a barrel that we named “Fireside,” said Osbourn. “The selection is one that gives off notes of vanilla and brown sugar, and is both smooth and mild in flavor.  It is the perfect sipper to enjoy fireside or mix in a variety of cocktails."

Royal Park Hotel continues to find new and innovative ways to engage the community, travelers and those seeking a local get-away.
