DESCRIPTION:Leader Dogs for the Blind is proud to host our fourth annual Dollars for Dogs fundraising\n\nevent. It's an easy and low-cost way for businesses of all sizes to help improve the lives\n\nof those who are blind or visually impaired while increasing employee engagement with\n\nevery customer.\n\nWith the community's support\, we have raised over $100\,000 through this program.\n\nHere's just a sample of what donations like these help us to accomplish each year\, despite\n\nzero funding from state and federal governments:\n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS\n\nCashiers ask patrons to donate at checkout. Customers choose a donation of $1\, $5\,\n\nor $20 then sign a Leader Dogs for the Blind dog tag for store display.\n\nFUNDRAISING GOAL\n\nWe suggest a goal of at least $500\, which is the amount to symbolically sponsor a puppy.\n\nWhen you become a sponsor\, you'll receive a 5x7 photo suitable for framing\, four wallet-size\n\nphotos to share\, a puppy profile and certificate\, and most importantly\, the knowledge\n\nyour sponsorship will help change the life of someone who is blind or visually impaired.\n\n\n\nTo get involved\, contact Maureen Smith\, Special Events Manager at 248-659-5046\n\nor msmith@leaderdog.org.
