SUMMARY:Harmony in the Hills Presents Broadway's Blake Whyte & Friends
DESCRIPTION:St. Paul's United Methodist Church's Harmony in the Hills Concert Series will present Broadway's Blake Whyte & Friends on Friday\, September 19th at 7p.m. at 620 Romeo Street\, Rochester\, MI in the Sanctuary. Whyte is a well-known talent\, known for starring in Broadway classics 'Wicked' and 'Mamma Mia'. Admission is free\, but free-will donations are appreciated.\n\n\n\nA man of many talents\, songwriter\, actor\, vocalist\, and theatre educator\, Whyte is a prolific artist. As a singer/songwriter his debut album entitled "More Like Myself" is available on Spotify and iTunes and he was a proud member of the Johnny Mercer Songwriting Project. He has collaborated and written songs with Celisse Henderson. He co-produced his debut album with Adam Hawkins on multiple songs. He is scoring a new film entitled "Two Toed Punch". Whyte has produced\, directed and played in his own music festival at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre\, working with six different choreographers from ballet to hip-hop\, a string-quartet and jazz sextet\, creating a unique fusion of music and dance. As an educator\, Whyte is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at Oakland University. \n\n\n\nHarmony in the Hills Concert Series is offered by St. Paul's United Methodist Church and features the finest local and international talent in classical\, jazz and gospel music. Concerts are held throughout the year on various days and at different times to allow more patrons the opportunity to attend. Ticket costs are nominal and sometimes a free-will donation.
