DESCRIPTION:This lecture will provide a general understanding of the role and application of Music Therapy in the Health setting. This activity will inform the audience of the education and credential of the Music Therapist and well as populations currently served by this health care professional. This lecture will also discuss the appropriate referral candidate for the service with explanation of the Clinical Assessment and Treatment plan options. In addition the lecture will provide both verbal and experiential examples of specific Music Therapy applications in the field. \n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes: Participants will pass a post test demonstrating knowledge of Music Therapy with a score of 80% or higher\; Participants will be able to identify at least one specific application of Music Therapy activities\; Participants will be able to identify appropriate referral for Music Therapy services
