DESCRIPTION:Presented by Donna Casaceli\, Birmingham Museum\, Archivist/Museum Specialist\n\n \n\nHear the stories of early Oakland County Abolitionists\, including Rollin Sprague\, who built the Stone Store in downtown Rochester\; and Eliphalet Jones\, grandfather to Sarah Van Hoosen Jones. Learn how these Abolitionists worked tirelessly to shape Michigan policy and help Freedom-seekers\, many of whom settled in Oakland County\, escape the bonds of Slavery.\n\n \n\nDonna Casaceli has been working in the history field for over 25 years\, starting at The Henry Ford after graduating with her BA in History at the University of Michigan. She is currently working at the Birmingham Museum and has recently finished her Graduate Certificate in Archival Administration at Wayne State University.
