DESCRIPTION:Internationally recognized conductor and tuba virtuoso James Gourlay appears in a concert with the OU Brass Band. Dr. Gourlay is currently the music director of Pittsburgh?s River City Brass\, the world's only full-time professional brass band\, performing 70 concerts annually across the U.S. As a tuba player\, he has a wealth of experience ranging from performances with the Vienna Philharmonic to playing on the soundtracks of major motion pictures\, such as Batman. The program will include the music of Edward Gregson and Martin Ellerby.
