The three-story Deco-style building was built in 1921 and has undergone a 20-million dollar renovation. In late 2016\, the theatre opened as an art and cultural non-profit organization that offers educational and entertainment programming and a beautiful rental resource for concerts\, meetings\, programs\, and weddings. The campus also includes Charlene's Theatre Bar\, a stunning cocktail lounge. On the other side of the campus is a restaurant opening in the early Fall of 2022\, renovated with material from old Pontiac buildings. \n\n\n\nThe Strand Gallery is now accepting applications to exhibit 2D artwork or hangable 3D work. Local\, regional\, or national artists may apply as an individual or group. Artists may also apply to exhibit their artwork in the Stage Gallery Window. \n\n\n\nThe artwork will be displayed for approximately three months and is chosen by a gallery committee. Exhibition space is located on the second floor at Second@Strand\, various other room\, and the lobby. Exhibition's hours are when the theatre campus is open\, including concerts and special events\, and by appointment.
