DESCRIPTION:ROCHESTER HILLS\, MI.\, February 18   The Rochester Community Concert Band will present 'Resound!' on Tuesday\, March 15th\, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Paul's United Methodist Church\, 620 Romeo Road\, Rochester\, 48307. This concert is rescheduled from March 1st. The concert is open to the public and admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted.  \n\nFeatured at the concert will be Bass Trombone Soloist\, Avery Wolf\, performing the first movement of the Eric Ewazen "Concerto for Bass Trombone and Band"\, the World Premiere of "Resound" by Dr. Nicole Piunno\, commissioned to celebrate the band's Fifth Anniversary\, and Guest Conductor Robert Ambrose\, Retired Director of Bands\, Bloomfield Hills High School\, who will conduct the band in the moving arrangement of "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" from the Opera Lohengrin by Richard Wagner.\n\nOther selections to be performed include: American Overture" by Joseph Jenkins\, "Music of Disneyland" arranged by Jerry Brubaker\, "Carnaval in Sao Paulo" by James Barnes\, "Radetzky March" by Johann Strauss and the beautiful "Nimrod" from Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar\, arranged by Alfred Reed. \n\nTo prevent the spread of COVID-19\, the RCCB requests that attendees follow the current guidance and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC).\n\nFor more information\, visit our website RochesterCommunityConcertBand.org\, email the RCCB at RochesterCommunityConcertBand@gmail.com or phone 248.462.9043\n\n\n\nAbout Rochester Community Concert Band\n\nThe 70-member all volunteer Rochester Community Concert Band is conducted by Paul F. The band also welcomes new members in the clarinet\, bassoon\, french horn\, euphonium and tubas sections.
