DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite you to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of holiday music at the Rochester Symphony Orchestra's festive concert\, "Light"\, on Friday\, December 12\, 2025\, at 8 PM. Join us for an evening of joy and celebration at the beautifully adorned St. Paul's United Methodist Church\, located at 620 Romeo Road in Rochester\, Michigan. Under the masterful baton of Maestro Zeljko Milicevic\, prepare to be swept away by a captivating selection of seasonal melodies that evoke the spirit of the holidays.\n\n\n\nThe concert features a fantastic selection of cherished holiday classics\, promising a magical experience for all\, including Mendelssohn's "Hark\, the Herald Angels Sing\," Waldteufel's "Skater's Waltz\," Anderson's "A Christmas Festival\," and the traditional sing-along to "Let There Be Peace on Earth\," and so much more.\n\n\n\nWe are excited to announce the return of senior command members of the United States Marine Corps\, who will add a special touch of community spirit to our holiday celebration. We will again be supporting the Marines' cherished "Toys for Tots" toy collection\, allowing us all to contribute to a wonderful cause that spreads joy to local children. In the spirit of giving\, we kindly encourage you to bring an unwrapped toy to the concert. This is your chance to make a meaningful difference in our community.\n\n\n\nThis promises to be a magical evening as we celebrate the season with performances from our special guests\, The Madrigal Chorale\, led by artistic director\, Dr. Brandon Ulrich. The Chorale is described as one of Metro Detroit's "artistic jewels\," a diverse\, multi-generational community of passionate singers. The Chorale will share a variety of beloved holiday music\, creating an atmosphere bursting with warmth and joy.\n\n\n\nWe also welcome Soloist and Principal Percussionist for the RSO\, Patricia Fisher\, who will perform a Drum Set Solo with the orchestra\, "The Skater's Overture."\n\n\n\nTickets are $30 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased through our website at www.rochestersymphony.com/event/light/ or by calling our box office at 248-651-4181.
