SUMMARY:The Rochester Symphony Orchestra welcomes in the Holiday Season with "Holiday Cheer"
DESCRIPTION:The Rochester Symphony Orchestra welcomes in the Holiday Season with "Holiday Cheer"\n\nGather your family and friends to celebrate this festive season with The Rochester Symphony Orchestra (RSO). Like so many families in the greater Rochester\, Michigan area\, the RSO's holiday concert has become a family tradition. Orchestral numbers include Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's The Snow Maiden Suite\, with delightful arrangements of Christmas Memories Arr. Bruce Chase and Christmas Canticles Arr. Sean O'Loughlin. \n\n\n\nThe orchestra will also perform Leroy Anderson's famous Sleigh Ride\, the exhilarating romp that concludes with the well-known horse-whinnying trumpet and join in for the much loved and much anticipated traditional holiday sing-along\, fun for the whole family.\n\n\n\nAs a special treat\, the RSO will welcome performances featuring Rochester Community Schools Choral Programs. All choirs will be featured on the Home Alone Suite by John Williams.\n\n\n\nThe concert will come to a close with another famous work by Leroy Anderson against which all other Christmas medleys are judged. Included are Joy to the World\; Deck the Halls\; God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen\; Good King Wenceslas\; Hark! The Herald Angels Sing\; Silent Night\; Jingle Bells and Adeste Fideles.\n\n\n\nThis year the RSO is again gathering gifts for The United States Marines "Toys for Tots." Traditionally\, RSO audiences are known for their generosity\, so if you wish\, bring an unwrapped toy or children's book\, and bring a smile to a child this holiday season.\n\n\n\nTickets are available on our website www.rochestersymphony.com or by calling the Box Office 248-651-4181. Tickets are also available at the door. Parking is free.\n\n\n\nSeason's Greetings from the Rochester Symphony Orchestra.
