This class is structured to provide you with knowledge and practical application skills as a paralegal in the area of criminal law. In this course you will learn about issues involving substantive criminal law and procedure, including case organization and preparation, research and writing involving common criminal issues, victim rights, and sentencing advocacy and guidelines.
Learn directly from Practicing Career Prosecutors and Criminal Law Attorneys and earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits to support your ongoing professional development. Upon successful completion, participants receive an official Certificate of Completion.
This course is part of the Oakland University Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) ABA-Approved Paralegal Program. OU PACE offers a rotating selection of 7-week Special Topic courses designed for focused CLE skill development. Course offerings change each semester to cover timely, high-demand areas of law—including Criminal Law, Immigration Law and other emerging specialties.
