Harmony in the Hills Presents Duo Clarion

The Harmony in the Hills Concert Series opens the fall season with an evening of chamber music by Duo Clarion. The concert takes place on Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m. in the St. Paul ’s United Methodist Church Sanctuary, located at 620 Romeo Street, Rochester, MI. Free admission. Donations are always appreciated.

Duo Clarion Is comprised of Chad Burrow, clarinet and Amy I - Lin Cheng, piano. The duo was formed in 1999 at Yale University and has performed in venues such as Zankel Hall in Carnegie Hall and National Concert Hall in Taipei, as well as venues across the US, Europe and Asia. Duo Clarion has released recordings through CDBaby, Albany, and WeiStudio. Their recording of music by Brahams and Schumann received an outstanding review in the ICA publication. These award winning artists are also sought after soloists and are professors at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Chad Burrow is also an orchestral musician and is the principal clarinetist with the Ann Arbor Symphony and performs regularly with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Michigan Opera Theatre. Amy I - Lin Cheng is a dedicated chamber musician who frequently performs with the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings concert series and the Michigan Chamber Players Series at the University of Michigan. 

Offered by St. Paul ’s United Methodist Church, the Harmony in the Hills Concert Series presents the finest national and international talent in classical, jazz and gospel music throughout the year. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Seung Hee Cho, Director of Music, the series offers performances on various days and times to welcome a broad audience.
