Leader Dogs for the Blind is launching a month-long “Virtual 5K” on April 29th in recognition of International Guide Dog Day.
COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on our lives, communities, and global society. The feedback we’ve received included so many stories of people looking for ways to stay connected, happy, and a little less isolated as we continue to socially distance.
It is our hope you and your colleagues, company departments, friends and families can participate in the LDB5K this year, using it as motivation to get outside (while maintaining safe social distances), stay active, and support people who are blind or visually impaired who are counting on Leader Dog to provide a means for their independence.
Our virtual 5K is a pledge to complete a 5K on your own by May 29. People can choose how they want to complete their 5K—run, walk, bike, swim, or skip.
You get the idea.
