Join the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce as we host a webinar with the City of Rochester Hills Economic Development Manager Pamela Valentik, who will present about the Oakland County Restaurant Reimbursement Program.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Oakland County/Rochester Hills Restaurant Relief Program was established in February 2021 as part of the Oakland Together business support – CVT Grant Program. Established and funded by Oakland County Executive David Coulter and the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, the purpose of this program is to support dine-in restaurants, bars and cafes impacted by COVID-19 and related public health orders. Oakland County works directly with the City of Rochester Hills to provide resources in two areas: 1) reimbursing businesses’ eligible expenditures for creating and expanding outdoor dining opportunities, and 2) providing county-identified products and supplies to assist in operating safely and in re-opening, when allowed. The maximum total award for a single business is $10,000.
ELIGIBILITY
This program is administered through the Rochester Hills’ Planning & Economic Development Department. The conditions dictating eligibility determined by Oakland County and Rochester Hills are outlined as follows:
Eligibility will be limited to full-service and limited service restaurants, breweries and cafes. Establishments that are not eligible, based on Oakland County requirements are those with drive-thru availability, with zero or limited dinein presences and/or whose primary operation appears to be take-out and delivery, or those that were determined as being permanently closed.
The business must secure a permit from the City of Rochester Hills for outdoor dining to be eligible to apply for the program.
The eligible expenditures are for the purchase period from July 1, 2020 through June 15, 2021 and the applicant must provide receipts for purchases completed within designated timeframe.
If applicant is planning to purchase items (post application date, but during the eligible timeframe), they must submit supporting documentation (invoice) for planned purchases. Applicant will not receive grant funding until paid receipts are provided.
Any applicant with outstanding zoning violations or delinquent taxes on the property in question will be disqualified from participating.
