Participants with no prior experience will be playing within minutes. Ukes will be provided for this workshop. Ukuleles, tuners, and additional songbooks will be available for purchase. (Cash or check only as Evie doesn?t take credit or debit cards) Topics covered: - Sizes and shapes of ukes: soprano, concert, tenor, baritone - How to hold, tune: most popular tuning is GCEA (?my dog has fleas?) - Learning chords: with just three major chords, many songs may be played. - Playing common songs. (With tips and tricks to keep it simple & fun) - How to transpose chords if the key doesn?t work for your voice - Internet resources
