About Us

Neighborhood House walks the path toward self-sustainability with our neighbors during times of hardship. We envision a community of neighbors helping neighbors thrive.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Neighborhood House has been helping neighbors in need since 1968. We are a steady source of help and hope and believe that "neighbors helping neighbors" is a model of a strong community.

Neighborhood House is the only full-service non-profit in our area that can help families with immediate needs and longer-term assistance that promotes self-sufficiency.

Our client services include emergency food, clothing assistance, counseling services, emergency financial assistance, transportation services, and self-sufficiency education. Our neighbors reside in a 100 square mile service area that includes Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, along with Oakland and Addison Townships.
