At Our Place, everything begins with heart. After 15 years in the corporate world — and many years as a salon guest myself — I wanted a space where great hair and genuine well-being could finally live side by side. A tiny salon with big heart grew from that desire.

Our Place is a quiet, comforting escape from the fast pace of everyday life. When you walk in, the noise drops away. I’m fully present for you — one guest at a time — so whether you’re with me for an hour or two, your appointment feels like a breath you didn’t know you were holding. I believe beauty is internal as much as external. Your hair isn’t something to fight, but something to understand and embrace at every stage of life. I’ve had my own seasons of loving and struggling with my hair, so I truly understand how emotional those changes can be. I’m passionate about helping women feel at ease with their natural texture, choose colors that feel authentic, and leave feeling more like themselves than when they arrived.

When you visit, you’ll feel cared for, unrushed, and genuinely seen. Your hair will be the focus — without chaos, noise, or double booking. It’s a space where you can exhale, soften, and be taken care of.

As for me I entered the industry in 2005, trained at Douglas J, and spent five years in an Aveda salon in downtown Rochester before moving into corporate leadership. After getting married, building a home, and settling in with our two dogs and cat, I returned to my first love — hair — to create a safe, slow, special place for women.
