About Us

Established in 1975, OYO is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We maintain a four level orchestra program enrolling over 350 students ages 7-18yrs. from private schools, parochial schools, home schools, and over 25 public school districts. Membership is by audition. Student members rehearse weekly on Thursdays in the Rochester area throughout the school year. They present three main concerts each season. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Chamber Ensembles, Outreach Recitals, Solo and Concerto Competition and to apply for Merit Scholarships.
