Joy & Strife - A March Performance by The Rochester Symphony Orchestra
The Rochester Symphony Orchestra is delighted to invite music lovers to an afternoon concert, “Joy & Strife,” taking place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 3 PM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Rochester, Michigan. Led by Maestro Zeljko Milicevic, this exceptional performance promises an inspiring program that showcases the artistry and versatility of its premier professional musicians.
We are excited to announce that one of our distinguished symphony members, Principal Trumpet for the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and the Dearborn Symphony, Michael McGowan, will be featured as a special guest soloist for this event. Michael has appeared on numerous occasions with the DSO, the DSO Brass Quintet, and Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings. He has performed in touring Broadway shows and played with various musical legends, including Burt Bacharach and Kristin Chenoweth. Michael’s exceptional musicianship and dedication have made a significant impact on our ensemble, and we are proud to highlight his extraordinary talent. Michael will be accompanied on the “Storyteller” by Tracy Gibson on Violin.
The concert will feature works by James M. Stephenson, Johann Pachelbel, Percy Grainger, Georg Philipp Telemann, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Attendees will experience the power and beauty of live orchestral music up close in the intimate setting of St. Paul’s.
Tickets are available now on our website, www.rochestersymphony.com/event/joy-and-strife/, or at our Box Office, 248-651-4181. Adults $30, students $5.
