Genisys Credit Union opened in 1936 when Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey ruled the airwaves; women wore padded shoulders, mid-calf hemlines; and men wore double breasted suits and fedora hats.
Originally chartered in 1936 as T & C Federal Credit Union (serving General Motors plant employees in Pontiac, Genisys Credit Union expanded and merged over the decades into one of the largest credit unions in Michigan.
Genisys Credit Union provides full service banking including their signature high yield Genius Checking account allowing members to earn 6.75% interest on their daily banking.
A community focused organization, Genisys Credit Union reinvests hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours annually into local non-profits, schools, and community programs. Genisys cares about their communities and are focused on improving affordable housing, hunger solutions, animal welfare, and creating spaces for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
