The Rochester Hills Public Library will host “Holistic Health Care” with Surita Chaudhry on Jan. 9, 2020 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the library’s multipurpose room. “Holistic Health Care” is the first Smart Towns program of 2020 and features guest speaker Surita Chaudhry, a practicing RN for nearly thirty years. She is nationally certified in Advanced Holistic Nursing and is a member of the American Holistic Nursing Association (AHNA). Chaudhry received training in clinical aromatherapy, foot reflexology, mindfulness meditation, emotional freedom technique, therapeutic touch, and is a 200-RYT Yoga Instructor. This program is a great way to start a new year and learn holistic techniques to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Smart Towns is a lifelong learning series presented by area partners, including the Rochester Hills Public Library, Oakland University, Rochester University, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, Meadow Brook Hall, and Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. Smart Towns partners collaborate to offer a unique series of programs exploring one topic per year. Lectures and presentations feature experts in their respective fields of study. The theme for 2020 is “Events that Changed the World.” Various aspects of health care, including holistic health care, have had a profound and life-changing effect on people around the world.
