Chief Financial Credit Union Community Builder Award to Rochester Bicentennial Sundial

Originally settled in 1817, Rochester is a 4-square-mile, full-service municipality is a perfect mix of historic and hip. The City of Rochester created the Community Beautiful Commission (CBC) in 2010. The Commission’s purpose is to conceive, formulate and develop plans for the beautification of Rochester.

The Bicentennial Monument plaza is a perfect entrance into Rochester’s Municipal Park, showcasing the city’s vibrant history.

And it must be said that without the financial support of community, Chief Financial Credit Union, UBS Financial, Whims Insurance Agency, Hollands and the City, the Bicentennial Monument may not have been more than an idea. So thank you to every person, business, and organization, that helped make all of this possible for the generations to come!

The City of Rochester and the City Beautiful Commission are extremely honored and excited to be receiving the Community Builder award for the Bicentennial Monument project.

The Community Builder Award is presented to a bricks-and-mortar project developed in the greater Rochester area that will enhance or is compatible with the Chamber’s key areas of interest. Projects must be substantially complete at the time of the award. Criteria include scope of project, innovation and contribution to building a more attractive community.
