On Thursday March 12, the Oakland Chamber Network hosted a Joint Board Breakfast bringing together the executives and board members for 27 Oakland County Chambers.
 
Doug Smith, Executive Director for Corporate Community and Government Relations at Oakland Community College, shared about their strategic plan and how grateful the College is for the 2019 millage renewal. Also presenting was Oakland County Executive David Coulter, who spoke on issues relating to Oakland County. The following is a summary of information shared.
  • COVID-19 & Oakland County: The next 60-90 days will have significant impact on businesses and families across the country. While it may be impossible to eradicate the virus, everyone can help slow the spread by utilizing effective hygiene practices.   • Healthcare: The Oakland Health 360 is a strategic partnership of Oakland County Health Division, Honor Community Health, and Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA), that will enhance access to primary care, mental and behavioral health, family planning, and dental services, especially for women and children.   • Education: Oakland80 is the goal to have 80% of area adults obtain a post-secondary degree or credential by 2030. Read more here.
