New Day Foundation for Families is a Rochester-based nonprofit started in 2007 for improving treatment outcomes for cancer patients and their families. New Day believes no family should have to choose between cancer treatment and providing basic necessities for their family.New Day Foundation for Families was founded in memory of two extraordinary individuals, Matt Kell and Cathy Spehn, whose legacies of family, faith, and generosity are the driving force behind their passion to serve the cancer community. New Day is an extension of the love and faith that defined their lives. Because of Matt and Cathy the purpose is clear: we hope to share evidence of God’s grace and mercy in the midst of life’s greatest trials by providing hope and assistance to families fighting cancer.
 
The mission of New Day is to help families overcome the harmful effects of Cancer Related Financial Toxicity by providing resources and emotional support. These programs give hope, reduce stress and improve treatment outcomes.

Nonprofits must rely on businesses and individuals to catch the vision and support the mission. New Day is grateful to have wonderful partnerships through the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce. They are grateful to everyone in the Rochester Community who has volunteered, donated prayed and encouraged them along the way.
