The Harmony in the Hills Concert Series invites audiences to a dynamic evening featuring Dave Sharp Worlds Quartet, known for their masterful blends of rhythms, sounds, and textures from across the globe with world music inspired original compositions. The concert takes place on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. outside in the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Garden of Hope, located at 620 Romeo Street, Rochester, MI. Free admission. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on and join the fun!

Featuring the oud, violin, electric bass, synthesizer and world percussion, the Worlds Quartet is fueled by the spirit of jazz, world music and dynamic exploratory improvisation. Bassist, composer, and bandleader Dave Sharp leads the World’s quartet exploring music traditions from Armenia, India, Turkey, Egypt, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Greece. Band members include Dr. Henrik Karapetyan, violin, Igor Houwat, oud, Mike List, percussion, and Dave Sharp, bass. The World’s Quartet has performed at the JazzAscona Festival, Switzerland, the Detroit International Jazz Festival, and numerous other festivals and clubs throughout Michigan.
Offered by St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, the Harmony in the Hills Concert Series presents the finest national and international talent in classical, jazz and gospel music throughout the year. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Seung Hee Cho, Director of Music, the series offers performances on various days and times to welcome a broad audience.
