HGTV hosts to speak at Rochester University’s 50th Partnership Dinner
Presented by Chief Financial Credit Union, Rochester University’s 2021 Partnership Dinner will feature a live, virtual conversation with Ben and Erin Napier, hosts of HGTV’s “Home Town” television show, on Saturday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m.
Partnership Dinner is an annual event that generates funds for student scholarships. The 2021 dinner will celebrate the event’s 50th year and RU’s 60th anniversary.
“Both of our institutions serve the greater Rochester community, and we have formed an important relationship with the college. Giving back and encouraging others to donate to student scholarships symbolizes our commitment to student learning, financial empowerment, and to the Rochester community.”
Detroit TV and radio personality Chuck Gaidica will host the event, which will feature a live Q&A with the Napiers, who will share about their work restoring homes in their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi, and about the television show that shares their creativity and passion for American craftsmanship. They also will talk about their support for education and the way their faith informs their work and lives.
“Although the event will be online because of safety precautions related to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are excited to join together virtually to raise funds for students so that RU can continue educating young people for a life of service,” said Steve Moore, RU vice president of development and alumni relations.
Tickets for the event are $150 with discounts for students and alumni. A variety of sponsorships are also available for purchase. For more information, go to rochesterU.edu/PD.Images
