This one-day dance event is an elite resource of art, dance and performance training. The Academy will adhere to professional standards of dance education that focuses on innovative choreography, technical skills and exercises, musicality, balance, rhythm and performance training. The clinic will be lead by the Detroit Pistons Dancers along with Ken Jimenez, entertainment manager for Palace Sports & Entertainment, who has developed numerous performers chosen to dance for top concert tours such as Michael Jackson?s ?This Is It? Tour, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown and Cirque Du Soliel.   The three-hour programs for girls and boys ages 5-7 and 8-12 include :    ? Pistons Academy T-shirt  ? Pistons  Wristbands  ? Autograph  Card   ? Special Performance   ? Two Dance Classes ? hip-hop and jazz.  A four-and-a-half hour program for ages 13-and-older include :    ? Pistons Academy T-shirt ? Autograph  Card   ? Special Performance    ? Three Dance Classes ? hip-hop, jazz and hip-hop/jazz combination Dancers will also be allowed special access to experience life as a Pistons Dancer. This will include going behind-the-scenes to see the Pistons Dancers dressing and media room.
