An American Mosaic of Music The program brings together music from the concert stage, film, popular culture, jazz, and the American hymn tradition. Featured selections include America the Beautiful, by Samuel Augustus Ward and arranged by Carmen Dragon; American Hymnsong Suite, by Dwayne S. Milburn; At a Dixieland Jazz Funeral, by Jared Spears; Battle Hymn of the Republic, by Peter J. Wilhousky and arranged by James Neilson; Foundry, by John Mackey; How to Train Your Dragon, by John Powell and arranged by Sean O?Loughlin; Nine to Five, by Dolly Parton and arranged by James Ivor Holland; Procession of the Nobles, by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and arranged by Erik Leidzen; Rumba de la Tumba, by JaRod Hall; and Where We Meet, a consortium commission by Hailey Woodrow. The program will take audiences on a musical journey through a variety of American sounds and traditions, from the pageantry of the concert hall and the excitement of film music to jazz, hymns, and popular music.
