I am an engineer turned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building software systems — first for the automotive industry, and now for the small businesses that power the US economy. My work started with a simple question: how do I develop real teamwork skills in my son? That question led me to design collaborative learning games for schools, which eventually became a consulting practice, which became a technology company. Today, Linnet LLC builds the operational and human tools that help small businesses run better, solve problems together, and grow as a team.

Marilyn Trent, principal and founder of Trent Creative, started as a freelance designer in 1992 with little more than a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, her creative talent, tenacity and commitment to satisfying the design needs of her clients. Over the past two decades, she has turned that business into a successful, award winning, full-service design, strategic branding and marketing agency while simultaneously raising two daughters and acting as a catalyst for positive social and ecological change in her community.
