Downtown Rochester's Holiday Window Contest

Downtown Rochester Kicks off the Holiday Season with the Annual Holiday Window Contest

ROCHESTER, Mich. – October 14, 2025 - Downtown Rochester is ready to shine bright this holiday season as nearly 20 local businesses participate in the highly anticipated Holiday Window Contest. This year’s theme, “Traditional Christmas”, invites businesses to celebrate the timeless charm of the season by transforming their windows with classic holiday décor, twinkling lights, and festive cheer.

From November 24th to December 4th, residents and visitors alike are encouraged to explore the downtown area and text their vote for their favorite holiday window display. The public can easily cast their votes by following the voting information displayed outside each participating business's window. This engaging voting system allows everyone to actively participate and support their preferred display. Only 5 votes per person and a complete list of participating businesses and map are located at www.downtownrochestermi.com/holiday-window-contest.

"The ‘Traditional Christmas’ theme gives our local businesses a chance to celebrate their creativity while bringing holiday cheer to the community," said Jenna O’Dell, Events Coordinator at the Rochester DDA. "We encourage everyone to come downtown, enjoy the beautiful displays, and support our local businesses during this festive time of year."

The winner of the Holiday Window Contest will be announced on stage at the Kris Kringle Market on Friday, December 5. During this beloved European-style holiday market, visitors can enjoy shopping for unique gifts, holiday decorations, delectable seasonal food and being part of the exciting reveal of Rochester’s most festive window display.
