New physician-owned surgical practice brings personalized breast care, advanced robotic surgery, and comprehensive general surgery services to the Greater Rochester community.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – October 2026 – Hallowell Surgery & Breast Care is proud to announce the opening of its new medical practice in Rochester Hills, Michigan, officially welcoming patients beginning October 1, 2026.
Founded by Shoshana Hallowell, MD, FACS, a board-certified general and breast surgeon with more than a decade of surgical experience, the practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care while bringing advanced surgical techniques and comprehensive breast health services closer to home.

Hallowell Surgery & Breast Care offers a wide range of services, including:

• Breast Health & Surgery: Breast cancer risk assessments, high-risk screening evaluations, management of benign breast conditions, breast cancer surgery, and breast health consultations.
• Robotic & Minimally Invasive Surgery: Advanced surgical treatment for hernias, gallbladder disease, acid reflux, and select colorectal conditions.
• General Surgery: Treatment of various surgical conditions, including skin lesions, melanoma, hemorrhoids, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Hallowell's passion for breast health extends beyond the operating room. As a breast cancer survivor herself, she understands firsthand the importance of early detection, education, and individualized care. She is also the founder of Operation Breast Density, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating women and healthcare professionals about breast density and improving access to supplemental breast cancer screening.

"Opening my own practice has been a longtime dream. I wanted to create a place where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health," said Dr. Hallowell. "As both a surgeon and a breast cancer survivor, I know how important it is to have a physician who takes the time to listen, explain options, and provide truly personalized care. I am excited to bring that philosophy to the Rochester Hills community."

The practice operates as part of Elivate Health, under the leadership of CEO Richard Hallowell, with a focus on expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered medical services throughout the community.
