Rochester Christian University Unveils “The Click,” a New Digital Marketing Lab Presented by Chief Financial Credit Union Rochester, Michigan — Rochester Christian University is launching “The Click,” a brand-new, state-of-the-art digital marketing lab presented by Chief Financial Credit Union, designed to give students hands-on experience in a professional, agency-style environment. The lab will officially open in April 2026 and will serve as a central hub for innovation, creativity, and practical learning within the university’s digital marketing program. Developed by the School of Business and Technology at Rochester Christian University, The Click was created to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world marketing practice. The space provides students with access to professional-grade tools used throughout today’s marketing industry, allowing them to build real campaigns, create digital content, and analyze performance data in a collaborative workspace modeled after modern marketing agencies. “The Click reflects our commitment to preparing students with career-ready skills,” said university representatives. “Students don’t just study marketing concepts—they actively apply them in an environment designed to mirror the professional world.” The lab will be integrated across multiple courses within the university’s digital marketing curriculum. Students will utilize the space throughout their academic journey, from introductory marketing labs to advanced strategy courses. In addition to serving as an academic resource, The Click will also function as a professional event space available for rental by businesses, organizations, and community groups seeking a modern, technology-equipped venue for workshops, training sessions, meetings, and events. The lab’s name was chosen through a campus-wide naming contest that generated more than 50 student submissions. The winning name, “The Click,” was submitted by student Sydney Hawks, who received a $1,000 financial aid award. The selection was made by a panel that included representatives from Chief Financial Credit Union, RCU faculty members, and a student leader. The name reflects a core concept in digital marketing: the moment when creativity, strategy, and data come together to inspire action. “The Click represents that moment when everything works,” said program leaders. “It’s where ideas turn into engagement, strategy turns into measurable results, and students see their work make a real impact.” The initiative also reflects a strong industry partnership between Rochester Christian University and Chief Financial Credit Union. As presenting sponsor, the credit union helps connect students to community engagement and business collaboration opportunities from the start of their academic careers. The Click is believed to be one of the only dedicated digital marketing labs at a faith-based university in Michigan, further strengthening Rochester Christian University’s growing reputation in applied business education. Students in the program benefit from faculty who bring decades of professional experience to the classroom, including leadership in advertising agencies and work managing national advertising campaigns for major brands such as Jeep. In addition to traditional marketing foundations, students also develop AI fluency, ensuring they are prepared for the rapidly evolving future of the marketing industry. By combining academic instruction, real-world tools, industry partnerships, and student collaboration, The Click represents a major step forward in experiential learning at Rochester Christian University. Businesses and community organizations interested in renting The Click for workshops, meetings, or events will have access to a modern, collaborative environment designed to support innovation and creativity.
