Ribbon Cutting Celebrating Meadowbrook Center for Learning Differences

Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Meadowbrook Center for Learning Differences

Rochester Hills, MI – Meadowbrook Center for Learning celebrates its 36th anniversary in the community this year. During that time, they have helped over 2,000 children achieve academic success and self-confidence. The Center was founded to remove barriers to learning with customized, one-to-one tutoring and an understanding of students’ different learning types and abilities. In 2024, Meadowbrook Center for Learning moved into their brand-new suite, doubling their space.

Meadowbrook Center for Learning helps students with a wide range of learning issues - from learning disabled children to helping those who just need help in a specific subject at school. The Center works with all subjects, grades and levels and provides homework help for specific classroom curriculums, including AP support. In addition to tutoring, they offer occupational therapy, handwriting classes, college prep essay assistance and SAT/ACT prep classes. Meadowbrook Center for Learning’s tools include Orton-Gillingham to help children with dyslexia learn to read and a therapeutic program called interactive Metronome (also used at the Cleveland Clinic) that helps children with focus issues.

As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit Meadowbrook Center for Learning provides scholarships and financial assistance for struggling families and strive to not turn anyone away due to their inability to pay. They only hire background-checked and -- highly qualified tutors to meet the needs of their students. Tutors are current and former teachers as well as former engineers and have an average of 20 years’ experience. Their passion and knowledge for the subjects they tutor enables them to share their knowledge with students and fill them with the confidence they need for future success. All programs are individualized and specific to each student. Meadowbrook Center for Learning has won awards and received community grants from the Rochester Rotary, Rochester Community Foundation, Comerica Bank, First State Bank and the Huizenga Foundation.

Meadowbrook Center for Learning Differences is one of the few organizations in the community that offers one-to-one tutoring, they do not use corporate programs, do not charge registration fees or extra fees for homework help, and there are no contracts that lock you in or 30-day cancellation. All Meadowbrook Center tutors have college degrees.

To celebrate their commitment to the community, the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce will honor Meadowbrook Center for Learning with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, September 30th at 4:00 pm.  The event will take place at Meadowbrook Center for Learning located at 811 Oakwood, Suite 303, Rochester Hills.
