Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm: Public Drop-In Hours &Tours

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is celebrating 45+ years serving our community! The Museum is open to the public for weekly Drop-In Hours every Friday and Saturday from 12-3pm. A guided tour of the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse leaves from the Dairy Barn at 1pm, followed by a look inside the Red House. Included with your admission is a self-paced, interactive look at our community’s local history. You will meet the Taylor-Van Hoosen families, check out Mastodon bones, enjoy a wide variety of local videos from our ski jump to our award-winning PBS movie and numerous computer interactives, as well as peruse local books in the Museum’s store.

Explore the Museum grounds and gardens, and take a self-guided tour of the newly re-built Equipment Barn, as well as the Bull Barn and Milk House for more exhibits that depict life as it once was in Historic Stoney Creek Village! Don’t forget to visit the nearby Stoney Creek Cemetery.
