Downtown Rochester Kicks off the Holiday Season with the Annual Holiday Window Contest
ROCHESTER, Mich. – October 14, 2025 - Downtown Rochester is ready to shine bright this holiday season as nearly 20 local businesses participate in the highly anticipated Holiday Window Contest. This year’s theme, “Traditional Christmas”, invites businesses to celebrate the timeless charm of the season by transforming their windows with classic holiday décor, twinkling lights, and festive cheer.

Downtown Rochester is thrilled to announce the 5th Annual Cookie Stroll, set to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Due to popular demand, the Cookie Stroll will now feature two stroll sessions; a morning stroll 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and an afternoon stroll from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. A total of 300 tins will be available – 150 per time slot. Your past support has made a real difference for local families, and we’re excited to invite you to join us again this year in our Holiday Giving Tree Program. The Giving Tree helps ensure that children in our community experience the joy of the season, even when their families are facing challenges. Each child will receive: Two gifts valued at $30–$35 each or two DOWNTOWN ROCHESTER’S TRICK-OR-TREAT! ROCHESTER, Mich. – September 11, 2025 – On Saturday, October 18, Watch the streets of Rochester come to life with ghosts, ghouls, superheroes and more as children trick-or-treat with the Downtown merchants! Followed by a Halloween Fest on the East Parking Platform (415 East Street).
Kids are encouraged to dress up and trick-or-treat downtown from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Nearly 50 businesses will participate in Trick-or-Treat and the participating businesses will be marked
