How does New Day Foundation help local families facing cancer?

Each year, New Day ensures that hundreds of Michigan families who have lost income due to a cancer diagnosis can afford to meet their basic needs, including housing, utilities, food and transportation.To reduce the harmful financial distress brought on by a cancer diagnosis, New Day pays the rent or mortgage to keep families in their homes; pays utility bills to keep the heat and lights on; covers car insurance and gas to ensure patients get to treatment; and provides groceries to eliminate food insecurity.
