ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS - The mayors and city councils from the cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills are excited to announce a friendly food drive competition to support the vital work of the Neighborhood House. This collaborative effort aims to collect much-needed food items for local families as the holiday season approaches.
The competition will run from Nov. 10 to Dec.
Oakland University has been officially designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Research (NCAE-R) by the National Security Agency.
The designation is awarded to Department of Defense schools, Ph.D.-producing military academies and regionally accredited, degree-granting four-year institutions that meet specific research activity standards as determined by the Carnegie Foundation Basic Classification system.
In addition to research classification, the NCAE-R designation includes O'Brien Dental Center welcomes the community to visit their newly opened office. Dr. Ashley O'Brien opened O'Brien Dental Center in August 2025 after working in private practice in Lake Orion for over three years. It was there that Dr. O'Brien gained clinical experience and utmost confidence in dentistry leading her to open her own practice and plant roots in Rochester Hills.
