  • Each year, New Day ensures that hundreds of Michigan families who have lost income due to a cancer diagnosis can afford to meet their basic needs, including housing, utilities, food and transportation.
  • To reduce the harmful financial distress brought on by a cancer diagnosis, New Day pays the rent or mortgage to keep families in their homes; pays utility bills to keep the heat and lights on; covers car insurance and gas to ensure patients get to treatment; and provides groceries to eliminate food insecurity. In 2024, New Day paid 2150 household bills direct to creditors on  behalf of Michigan families.
  • New Day lifts the financial burden of cancer, allowing families to focus on healing
  • In 2024, nearly 80% of New Day families maintained medical compliance as a result of New Day's support
