Mayors of Rochester, Rochester Hills hosting food drive competition
Donations will go to support non-profit Neighborhood House

ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS - The mayors and city councils from the cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills are excited to announce a friendly food drive competition to support the vital work of the Neighborhood House. This collaborative effort aims to collect much-needed food items for local families as the holiday season approaches.

The competition will run from Nov. 10 to Dec. 1. Residents of both cities are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at designated drop-off locations in the lobby areas of the respective city hall buildings.

"We are thrilled to participate in this friendly competition with our neighbors in Rochester,“ said Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan K. Barnett. “It's a chance to demonstrate the incredible generosity of the Rochester Hills community while supporting Neighborhood House. Based on our track record of being named the best place to live in Michigan, I know our residents will deliver the generous open handed living we are known for.”

Rochester Mayor Nancy Salvia expressed her enthusiasm for the food drive, stating, "This is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to come together and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. We are proud to partner with Rochester Hills and Neighborhood House in this important cause, and I know Rochester will rise to the challenge with open hearts."

All donated food items will directly benefit Neighborhood House, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to those in need, including food, clothing, and emergency financial aid.

Rochester residents should drop off food at 400 Sixth Street in Rochester, while Rochester Hills residents should bring food to 1000 Rochester Hills Drive in Rochester Hills.
