Paint Creek Center for the Arts thanks area sponsors for ongoing support of Art & Apples Festival® - and welcomes new support for 2025

Rochester, Mich.—Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA)’s  annual Art & Apples Festival® would not be possible without the support of its sponsors, according to the nonprofit community arts organization’s Executive Director Shaun Hayes.

“PCCA depends on Art & Apples, our signature fundraising event, for nearly half of our annual budget; and we in turn depend on our sponsors’ financial support for making the festival a reality,” Hayes said. “The presenting sponsor, Genysis Credit Union, and Meijer Kids Art Zone sponsor, Meijer, stand out for their continuing support year after year. They understand the role that art and community celebrations like Art & Apples, now in its 59th year, play in keeping a community connected.”

Speaking on its presenting sponsorship, Genisys Credit Union praised Art & Apples.

“A time-honored tradition of our community, Art & Apples is a vibrant celebration of art where community members and artists connect,” Jackie Buchanan, President & CEO of Genisys Credit Union, said. “The festival’s dedication to keeping art fresh and engaging embodies a great sense of community spirit. We look forward to a successful 59th year of celebrating art and community with PCCA.”

Art & Apples 2025 takes place at Rochester Municipal Park Friday, September 5, through Sunday, September 7. With more than 250 juried artists and artisans, the three-day festival attracts 60,000+ guests. Festival offerings include unique artwork, handmade keepsakes, and distinctive home goods available to purchase; live stage entertainment from community music and dance groups as well as local musicians; food trucks and tents offering a wide array of food options; the Meijer Kids Art Zone offering children’s art activities; and the Creation Station featuring live art-making demonstrations, including Ervin Glassworks.

Beyond financial sponsors, Hayes is grateful for a new partnership with Rochester Avon Parks and Recreation (RARA), which will take a lead role in organizing the Meijer Kids Art Zone.

“RARA is a household name in the Rochester area when it comes to children’s play, dance, sports and other activities,” Hayes said. “PCCA is thrilled to have them on board this year to keep the Meijer Kids Art Zone fresh, fun and engaging for kids through art creation stations, play areas, inflatables, games, and entertainment and other activities for the youngest festivalgoers.

In thanking a returning community partner, Hayes notes that free shuttle transportation to/from Rochester High School will again be entirely provided by OPC Social & Activity Center’s transportation services, with wheelchair lift-equipped buses for accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
“The OPC Social and Activity Center, like RARA, has a tradition of improving the quality of life for area residents and we are grateful for their involvement with Art & Apples – increasing access for all to attend the festival while enabling hassle-free parking,” Hayes said.

There are still sponsorship packages available. For more information, visit the Art & Apples sponsorship page on the website, call PCCA at 248-651-4110, or email Shaun Hayes at Shaun@PCCArt.org.

Art & Apples serves as PCCA’s signature fundraiser to support the organization’s art classes for kids and adults, free art exhibitions, the Art Market exclusively featuring local Michigan artists’ work, summer camps, and community outreach through its Art Anywhere program. A suggested $5 donation per person will be accepted at each of the festival’s entrances; PCCA then shares a portion of these donations with the other area nonprofits and community ‘gate groups’ greeting festivalgoers.
Art & Apples will open on Friday, September 5 from 2 p.m.–7 p.m. in Rochester Municipal Park and continue on Saturday, September 6 from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sunday, September 7 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Note to attendees that a city ordinance forbids dogs at the festival.
