Rising Star Drew Coble Heads to International Stage as Club Embraces National Spotlight.

Oakland, MI – June 11, 2025 – Twin Lakes Golf & Swim Club is stepping into the national spotlight as it proudly hosts the Rocket Mortgage Classic Pre-Qualifier on Wednesday, June 19, 2025. This PGA TOUR-affiliated event brings elite amateur and professional golfers to the Rochester area as they compete for a coveted opportunity to advance toward one of the summer’s most anticipated golf tournaments.

The Pre-Qualifier serves as an official gateway to the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and Twin Lakes has been selected as one of only a few courses across the region trusted to host this pivotal round. For players, it’s a high-stakes chance to move one step closer to the PGA TOUR. For Twin Lakes, it’s a moment of recognition built on years of investment in course quality and community connection.

Drew Coble: From Clubhouse to Global Competition
While the tournament welcomes regional golf talent to Twin Lakes, one of the club’s own is making moves on the international stage. Drew Coble, son of Twin Lakes Golf Director Jeff Coble and a lifelong Twin Lakes golfer, will compete in the British Amateur Championship June 16 – 21 in Kent, England.

A standout in youth golf, Drew has built a strong reputation for his precision, mental strength, and consistent performance, all of which began on the very greens now prepped for Pre-Qualifier play.

“It’s an exciting time, Drew is heading out to compete on the international stage, and Twin Lakes is welcoming some of the region’s best to ours,” said Jeff Coble, Head Golf Professional. “It’s a proud moment for our family and our Twin Lakes community.”

The club’s growing impact extends well beyond hosting. Twin Lakes is also home to a thriving junior golf community. With more than 100 young golfers enrolled annually, the club’s year-round programming, featuring clinics, summer leagues, and player mentorship, continues to build a strong pipeline of emerging talent.
