Vibe Credit Union Joins Hands with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County for Community Impact Day PONTIAC, MI – On October 13, 2025, Vibe Credit Union and Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County will join forces to shape a brighter tomorrow during the credit union's third annual Community Impact Day. This extraordinary event plans to bring together Vibe’s entire strength of 260 dedicated team members to uplift the Pontiac community by breathing new life into parks, homes, and hearts. Vibe Credit Union partners with Habitat Oakland to amplify a shared mission: building strength, stability, and self-reliance through safe and affordable housing. Together, they will make a lasting impact on 16 residential projects, four park restoration efforts, and complete various activities held at Habitat's offices for those with limited mobility. “Vibe Credit Union’s Impact Day is about more than volunteering, it’s about living our purpose. When 260 Vibe team members come together to build alongside Habitat for Humanity, we’re helping create stability, opportunity, and stronger communities. That’s the power of people united by purpose” said Chaz Rzewnicki, President and CEO of Vibe Credit Union. What will make this event exceptional is the diversity of tasks Vibe Credit Union’s team members will complete in just one day. One key initiative is the revitalization of four local parks, in partnership with the City of Pontiac, where volunteers will landscape, clean, and install tiny libraries in each park as a "leave a book, take a book" literacy initiative. These renewed green spaces will create safe areas for children to play, spaces for families to gather, and foster a culture of learning and connection for years to come. Another highlight of the day will be the rejuvenation of 16 residential sites, where Vibe team members will complete landscaping and yard clean-up services for individuals and families who have contacted Habitat Oakland and qualified for the support. Some projects were also identified by Micah 6 Community, another partner of Habitat Oakland and Vibe, making this day a truly collaborative effort. By restoring these properties, homeowners will experience an immediate and visible change, which aims to promote neighborhood stability and a more welcoming environment. Through this company-wide day of community engagement, Habitat Oakland and Vibe Credit Union demonstrate the remarkable transformation that can happen when people unite around a common vision. “Every block, home, and park we beautify and improve is a step toward stronger, more connected, and more VIBErant communities,” said Michele Hodges, Executive Director and CEO of Habitat Oakland. “Together with VIBE, we are turning shared values into visible impact.” OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEDIA: · Interviews with Habitat leaders · Interviews with Vibe Credit Union leaders · Interviews with homeowners · Remarks by Habitat Executive Director and CEO, Michele Hodges at the event kick-off · Video and photography of Vibe Credit Union team members volunteering Projects will take place throughout Pontiac; specific addresses are available upon request.
