New Day Foundation is calling on community members to volunteer for its most entertaining fundraiser of the year, Celebrity Lip Sync Battle, taking place Thursday, October 15 at Sound Board inside MotorCity Casino Hotel.

Volunteer opportunities are available both before and during the event. Local volunteers are needed to assist with gift bag assembly on October 1, 5, or 7 at First State Bank in Rochester, as well as event-day activities including ballroom set-up, guest greeting, registration support, and general event assistance.

The evening begins with a strolling dinner at 5:00 p.m., followed by the live Celebrity Lip Sync Battle show at 7:00 p.m., and concludes with an Afterglow celebration at 9:00 p.m.

Celebrity Lip Sync Battle is a one-of-a-kind live entertainment experience featuring eight local celebrity teams competing on behalf of Michigan families currently facing cancer. Complete with choreographed performances, energetic music, and iconic costumes, the event combines fun and philanthropy as celebrity judges score the performances and audience members help determine the night's champion.

Volunteers play a critical role in making this event possible. Their support helps create an unforgettable evening while raising funds that directly assist local families navigating the challenges of cancer treatment.

Proceeds from Celebrity Lip Sync Battle benefit New Day Foundation for Families, a Rochester Hills-based nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance and emotional support to families fighting cancer throughout Michigan. Through partnerships with social workers at more than 120 hospitals statewide, New Day helps families overcome financial barriers to treatment and focus on what matters most: healing and recovery.

For many families, New Day serves as a first light of hope during one of life's most difficult journeys, helping alleviate the financial stress that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis.
