Rochester Community Concert Band presents “Exaltations”
Included in this program, among other works, are “Olympic Spirit” by John Williams, Verdi’s “Overture to Nabucco”, “Salute to the Cinema” featuring themes from some of the best loved movies, “Symphonic Dance No. 3, Fiesta” by Clifton Williams, “Far from Home” by Julie Giroux, and Scott Boerma’s “Poem”
The RCCB is partnering with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra/Detroit Harmony Initiative. The goal of this initiative is to provide an instrument to any student in the city of Detroit who wishes to learn to play. DSO/Detroit Harmony is running an Instrument Donation Drive campaign during the month of October. To that end, we are inviting concert goers to scrounge their closets for any band or string instruments (in any condition) they are no longer using and bring them to the concert to donate.
COVID Precautions: For the safety of all, we ask all concert goers to wear a mask that covers both your nose and mouth while in the church, regardless of vaccination status, and sit spaced apart from other attendees not in your party.
