About Us

Mission: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County brings people together to build homes, community, and hope.

Habitat for Humanity is a movement to eliminate poverty housing by building simple, decent, affordable homes for - and with - people who need adequate housing. Since 1976, millions of Habitat for Humanity volunteers have built more than 300,000 homes for over 1 million people around the world. Habitat for Humanity came to Oakland County in 1994 and since provided affordable housing and home improvements for more than 100 families.

Success...Habitat for Humanity International reports the following outcomes of Habitat for Humanity homeownership:
-One in four Habitat homeowners reports better grades in school
-One in four reports less cases of sickness
-Three out of five reports less family conflict
-Seven out of ten reports an increase in household income
-Two out of five reports pursuing more education
