PONTIAC, MI — Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Jody K. Skonieczny, CFRE, as its new Chief Advancement Officer (CAO). With more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofit advancement efforts, Jody brings a wealth of strategic fundraising knowledge, volunteer engagement expertise, and mission-driven leadership to the organization. Jody’s impressive career includes leadership roles at respected nonprofits such as the Sky Foundation, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the March of Dimes. Her fundraising achievements are extensive—she led the execution of a multi-state raffle that raised $500,000, secured a $200,000 scholarship endowment, implemented successful planned and annual giving programs, and played a key role in a $5 million capital campaign. “We are thrilled to welcome Jody to our executive leadership team,” said Michele Hodges, Executive Director and CEO of Habitat Oakland. “Her passion for service, history of measurable fundraising success, and commitment to community impact make her an ideal fit as we expand our mission to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing across Oakland County.” Jody holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Michigan – Flint and is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE). She also received her doctorate in Leadership Studies at Louisiana State University Shreveport, reflecting her lifelong commitment to professional growth and ethical nonprofit leadership. Known for her collaborative approach and dynamic energy, Jody is regarded as a servant leader who excels in fostering strong donor relationships and empowering teams to achieve their highest potential.
