Join us for our Ribbon Cutting celebrating Gyro Express. Gyro Express began operating on February 1, 2025. The business was opened by Allen Tareq as an expansion to his business in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada. Many customers loved the food he was making and recommended he open a location offering this type of food in the USA. 

Some of the products at Gyro Express include gyro wraps/bowls, shawarma, burgers, ribs, and chicken wings, as well as sides and combo meals. 

Gyro Express is known for their bestseller the Gyro Pita, which many customers say is the best gyro they've ever had. 

Allen Tareq, owner of Gyro Express, says, "I learned to make gyros and fast-food meals when I started working at a restaurant in 2017. Four years later, in 2021, I learned some additional recipes on my own and realized I could start my own business. I opened up Allen's Mini Mart and Gyro Express in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada the same year. Business has been great and customers loved the food so much that they recommended I open a location in Michigan."

To celebrate the grand opening of Gyro Express, the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce will honor Gyro Express with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 30th at 5:30 pm.  The event will take place at Gyro Express located at 1507 E.
