Rochester Regional Chamber Foundation hosts Annual Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade & Grand Marshal Gala

 
Rochester, MI - The Rochester Regional Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce that the beloved Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm.

The Foundation is so grateful to its many sponsors – particularly our Parade Presenting Sponsors: Erskine Law Attorneys & Counselors, Genisys Credit Union, & Serra Ford Buick GMC of Rochester Hills, for their support and commitment to support this community tradition.
 
Parade Activities
The public is welcome to attend various activities on-going during the Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade.

  • VIP Bleacher Seating – Sit right in the heart of the action of the parade at 4th & Main Street in the VIP Bleachers! Tickets are $10 each while supplies last, and are only available at the RRC Office, 71 Walnut Blvd., Ste. 110, Rochester, MI.
  • Take the FREE Snowflake Shuttle into Downtown – Enjoy free shuttle bus transportation from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Pick Up Location: Chase Bank at 1290 Walton Blvd., Rochester Hills. Drop Off Location: W. 4th and Pine Street, Rochester.
  • Watch the Parade Live – The parade starts at 2:00 pm and marches down Main Street from the corner of Tienken & Rochester Road. Participants can view in-person along Rochester Road from Tienken to 2nd Street. Arrive early! Local road closures begin at 1:30 pm. Plan your parking ahead by visiting the city website at https://www.ci.rochester.mi.us/231/Parking. Suggested parking areas in downtown Rochester include the garages located at:
    • East Parking Platform Garage - 415 East Street
    • West Parking Platform Garage - 414 Walnut Blvd 
  • 1st Annual Reindeer Classic 1 Mile Dash Fun Run for Rochester Band and Orchestra Boosters (RBOB) - The Reindeer Classics is a 1-mile Dash Presented by GameDay Men’s Health, premiers directly before the 2024 Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade. This event invites all ages to don reindeer antlers and race along Main Street.  This inaugural event adds festive energy to the day of the parade and support the Rochester Band & Orchestra Boosters. It’s a celebration of community spirit and a chance to enhance local music programs for students. The race begins at 1:30 pm prior to the parade. Registration is $25 per person.   • Recordings - You can always watch from the comfort of your home by viewing the recording, thanks to Rochester Hills TV. A recording of the parade will air on local cable television in Rochester Hills throughout the month of December! RHTV is available on WOW Channel 10, Comcast Channel 20, and AT&T U-verse Channel 99. Additionally, the recording will be announced when it’s available on the Chamber’s YouTube channel.
  • Community Afterglow Party – Join Santa and Mrs. Claus from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Bordine’s Nursery, 1835 S. Rochester Road, in Rochester Hills for more pictures with Santa (with your own camera) and goodies! Thank you to Bordine’s Nursery for sponsoring this event!
 
Grand Marshal Gala
    The Rochester Regional Chamber Foundation announced this year’s Grand Marshal, Coach Greg Kampe. A community hero, Kampe is the head basketball coach of Oakland University's Men's Team. He generously contributes his time and talent to numerous organizations throughout our community.
